Dagmartin | News from the Philippines

Dear friends, supporters, and churches,

It’s hard to believe—half a year has already gone by! The past few months have been a colorful mix of technology, encounters, and new opportunities to continue building God’s kingdom through media ministry. Today we’d like to share with you what we’ve been privileged to experience—and thank you from the bottom of our hearts for making all of this possible through your support!

Encounters and Special Moments

Three major conferences marked our first half-year: Lami, Enforce, and the PGCAG (Philippine BFP) District Conference here in the Philippines. Each event was an opportunity to meet pastors and leaders in person. It was particularly moving for me (Martin) to be able to serve the PGCAG directly for the first time—using my skills in software development: A custom-built voting system helped the national leadership efficiently elect representatives at the Enforce Conference, which drew around 2,000 pastors. Technology that builds bridges—and also enabled me to make valuable new connections.

Limitless – 500 People, One Goal

Another highlight was our own media conference, “Limitless”: Over 500 media workers from a wide variety of churches attended—a truly powerful time filled with workshops, inspiration, and fellowship. The positive feedback shows us: This investment is bearing fruit.

Dagmar’s work at YouShine

Dagmar was back at YouShine’s new shelter, where 11 girls aged 12 to 20 currently live. They come from difficult backgrounds—domestic violence, abuse, or as orphans. At the shelter, they find not only protection but also schooling and help in processing their experiences. Especially through creative therapy activities like painting and crafts, the girls can express what they’ve been through and heal step by step.

Family Update & Looking Ahead

In addition to the shelter, Dagmar continues to be Joel and Naemi’s teacher: Joel has finished his school year and is now starting at a new school (ILS), while Naemi continues to attend the German Distance Learning School. Josi? She keeps us all on our toes—she’s learning to talk, laughs a lot, and really keeps her siblings on their toes.

Things will pick right up in the coming weeks: Next week is our mission retreat, and after that I’m flying to Vietnam for 10 days to train media staff from various churches in video, social media, and artificial intelligence.
