Doors That God Opens

Dear friends, supporters, and churches,
Mid-March, Manila International Airport, Terminal 2. Three men emerge from a 14-hour flight and stand at the door with their suitcases, taking their first astonished glances at the traffic chaos. “Welcome to the Philippines!” I call out—and with that, 10 jam-packed days begin with visitors from our partner church in Elmshorn.

Exciting weeks lie behind us. The three men from Elmshorn got a brief but intense glimpse into our life here. We showed them our work at AP Media, drove through Manila to the most important sightseeing spots, attended various church services, and were even able to meet my colleague Carsten Aust here in the Philippines.

|
What we take away from this week: The car now knows the routes by heart. But more important than any kilometer were the hours we spent talking, asking questions, listening, and praying together. Such encounters remind us that mission is not a solitary task. We are grateful for the partnership with Elmshorn—and for the many other partnerships that make this work here on the ground possible.

AIMM 2026 – When AI Meets Mission

No sooner have the Elmshorners flown back than we’re right back at it. Next Tuesday, AIMM kicks off—our one-week training program at AP Media. Twenty-five participants, three areas: artificial intelligence, video production, and social media. In my class, there will be 10 men and women whom I’ll have the privilege of teaching about AI for 18 hours—how they can use ChatGPT, image generators, and other tools for their church work.
The preparation was intense and took up many hours—AI is a field where things change daily. But I’m really looking forward to this week. It’s one thing to try out new tools on your own at home. It’s quite another to pass them on to ten people who will then return to their churches and continue working with them.

Please pray for the training, that the tools and skills our participants learn will be used to further build the Kingdom of God in their churches and reach more people with the Gospel. |

What Lies Ahead

There’s a lot going on this year, and the calendar is filling up more and more.
| ●June: I’ll be joining Joel and Naemi for a three-day AP Media outing to Bacolod—a little adventure for the kids in the midst of work. |
| ●July: We’re flying to Indonesia for the Southeast Asia Regional Retreat, where all AG missionaries from this region will gather. |
| ●September: Two training sessions in Vietnam. |
| ●Also: Mongolia has asked if I can hold a K.I. training there. |
I’m excited to see what doors God will open in the coming months.
